Defected! Now, what to do???

Police bike first , street bike last !
Well the streetbike was a given...just gotta ride 5 minutes on any road in Adelaide...

Sad but true
Ok, today was the big day, inspection day at the Transport department, at Regency Park, to "clear" my bike, and get that nasty little "Canary' removed from my bike.
Well after replacing my FE with my OEM rear fender, and my Two Brothers exhaust with Stumbles OEM pipes, making sure i had 2 mirrors (crash damage), and refitting my rear hugger & chain guard, it was off to see big brothers buddies down at the inspection centre.
First shock...got slapped with a $137.50 inspection fee...considering the minor nature of my infingement...i have nothing to say here, other than 2 words..."revenue raising"!!!!!! :spank:
Anyway, my time came, the inspector came and called me to bring my bike in, and so i took a deep breath and rode the beast into the big shed.
When i got to the Roller Door, where the inspector greeted me, he took one look at the bike and said, why are you here??? Toild him, and he said that is ridiculous!
Anyway, rode the bike into the shed, did a front & rear brake light test for him, and parked the bike in the inspection bay.
After telling the inspector the story of what had happened, and how i got booked, he once again commented that this is silly, and that surely this could of been fixed by the cop ticking minor, instead of major on the defect notice, cause if he did, all i would of had to do, was go to the local cop shop to get it cleared, for no $$$...once again, 2 words..."revenue raising" :spank:
Anyway, the inspector, then checked the fender, checked my indicators worked, inspected the brake lines for compliance labelling, poked his torch, in around under the rear of the bike, and around the engine, checked the vin number, etc...and ripped off the defect sticker, and told me to get out of there.
The inspector was a really decent bloke, and was very quick, pleasent, and complimentary of my bike...said it was very well maintained, and looked like a new bike...except for the bugs all over it, from 250km ride home from Loxton this morning!
The inspector also gave me an information leaflet re the rules & regs, re Motorbikes & Sidecars...will scan it, and post pics at some point soon for all the South Australian Boys.
The Inspector did not look under my seat, so Power Commander was not an issue...only did a very quick glancing check of the Sprockets & chain.
It really was quite a simple inspection...very happy to get the defect sticker taken off my bike! Back to normal now!

Sweet. Back to the "old noisy Wolfbike" then.
I knew he'd say that about it being minor, because it bloody well is... Very Minor, and was just a cop being a pain in the a$$.
Glad to hear it's all done, and life can get back to normal.

Argh, I'm getting grumpy now, and it didn't even happen to me. Think I scared the missus, she just left early for work :rof:
Feel like punching someone, why don't the cops do something constructive, like find the pricks that throw bricks at moving cars, (they never did get back to me about my wife's incident).

Yes and the guy who gave me a visit to the hospital for Christmas, has not been booked yet...and probably wont be...still i suppose putting me in Hospital raised some more revenue!

I think everyone knows my take on all this. I'm still collecting evidence to send off with my letters, 'cause I don't want any misunderstandings. This needs sorting. Members of the SA police department have been caught out big time burning movies illegally and then the people who deal with the copy write issues here said they weren't doing anything about it because they " have a good working relationship with SAPOL". What a pile of steaming....rice.
I've got a video here in my hand that was copied on police equipment to defeat the copy write protection, and at the end of the tape there is a scene of the inside of Christies Beach Police Station. They were using Govt supplied tapes and have been doing it for at least 12 years that I know of.
These guys are getting away with whatever they want. A lawyer drags a guy on a push bike under his car for ages and leaves the scene of the accident allegedly drunk as a skunk and gets wrist slapped.
Another guy gets shot in the eye by a rich dude's kid while he's doing his job delivering papers or something and the rich dudes kid got fined $200 or something. Can easily track down the details on this.
I guess I'm saying, "Don't expect justice or you'll be disappointed".

Anyways, I'm glad to hear it wasn't too bad except the hundred odd bucks down the hole.
Went for a ride tonight with my TB's on...sheesh, they are loud....riding around for a few weeks with OEM pipes has made me realise just how loud they are...Db killers are going back in tomorrow..they dopnt do much, but they do have the most effect when in cruise mode around the city...which is probably the most relevant time to be a little quieter.

Yes i found myself a little more careful re giving the bike a handful at any point tonight...they can be heard a long way away.
Glad you got everything straightened out and your bike is back to normal :rockon::thumbup:
