deep red metallic vinyl

Anyone ever use a vinyl in place of paint with a red metallic bike? I just got a belly pan and want to make it red but I really dont want to fork out $100 to colorite for paint. I was wondering if anyone has successfully matched a vinyl color? If so can you post a link?

base coat is silver then the red on top .
