Lately I've been eyeing those sexy white and blue XB12Rs that Buell made as an addition to the stable. I thought I was over that! I think the blame falls all on Wavex:spank: :D I've still got a while before I would be able to make the addition (gotta get rid of the project car taking the other garage spot) so maybe I can clear my head in the meantime. Also every thread deserves some eye candy so feel free to  with me.

Although I must say, I thought FZ6 exhausts were expensive...at least we get 2 cans + piping. I saw a carbon fiber XB12R one that cost $1200 for just the muffler:eek:

lol nice! Beware though, that if you get this, your FZ will be collecting dust in the garage... :D

$1200 for the muffler? No way... it must be the full system. If you do not want a full system, the best muffler for this bike will cost you around $300.

Parts are super cheap for Buells compared to the FZ6...

You can get a Jardine muffler for about $400 or so. The full Micron system it about $1,200 to $1,400 but they are no longer in business. Check out American Sportbike for goodies. :)

Don't get the Jardine... get the Drummer or Special Ops pipe... Special Ops particularly is nice because you send him your muffler for 2-3 weeks and he sends it back to you modified (better performance, 10lb lighter, better sound)... keeping the stock exhaust back-pressure valve, which is a good thing...

I was just lazy and impatient and got the Jardine (well, it was on sale on amazon for $300) :) no back-pressure valve anymore though....

He does the rework for $250 everything included.

Yeah I saw that some of them got rid of the valve, when the day comes I would rather keep it. The Special Ops seems to be the best thing I've found. The $1200 one is a Drummer actually...Drummer ss at the very bottom of the page, carbon fiber version. TI Force also makes headers for it but I can't find any prices about them.
