D-ring or seatbelt type buckle?

I agree. I put a quick release buckle on my scorpion, and I really like it. My atv helmet had a quick release when I bought it. With gloves on, it is much easier to get the helmets on and off.

agree quick release is much easier to use than the D-ring cause its gloves friendly:thumbup:

My X-Lite has a D ring and my Shoei has a quick release clip. I refer the D ring because you can pull it as tight as you want.

All my Shoeis have had D's - but my Shark is quick release.
Don't mind either but I find the D ring actually easier to operate with gloves on than QR.
I was told once that the UK government was considering making it law here for rings. If thats the case then we can expect it to be passed sometime around 2025 :Flip:

i also heard this rings rule ... but i use em on my helmet ... but surely the qr ones are safe otherwise why would they make them

only d-rings are ACU approved, personally i find them more comfortable than quick release straps

only thing i struggle with is trying to button the loose bit of strap up whilst riding, though i normally only do the strap up once i am off the bike and i'm not wearing gloves

I've used the same clip on 3 helmets and one was crash tested.

That looks very similar to the connection of the AGV K-series helmets.

I have a Nolan and, thus, a ratchet style quick release. It's awesome and easy to use one handed.

My last AGV helmet had a quick-release, which I loved, but then I bought my current Shark Evoline helmet, which uses D-Rings - and it doesn't bother me as I don't take my helmet off anywhere near as much. (walking into a servo to pay for fuel etc, due to the flip up (or more accurately, flip around) chin-bar.)
