Color questions...

Hello everyone I have a question to ask. I took home my first Fz6 project motorcycle home a couple days ago. Upon inspecting the motorcycle I noticed that it had a silver frame but a black motor and a black subframe now I'm just trying to figure out what the difference between the silver motor and black motor is.

it's the year of make if I understand anything.
my 05 has an all silver motor and frame, the later models go all black. silver frame and black motor I dunno, 06/07?
