clutch pull feels "rough"

even with a new clutch cable it doesn't help at all. when i pull the clutch on other bikes the feel is very smooth, but on my bike it's rough and it's almost like there's a little resistance somewhere. any ideas...? sigh...:spank:

Have you squirted WD40 or equivalent down the clutch cable to lube it?

Worked wonders on mine.

I felt the same way recently. Was checking out brand new bikes at the dealership, they all were much smoother. So I bought a cable luber and oil combo from them and did my clutch. It is much better now. The luber and oil combo was $20. Going to do my throttle cables next.

ok i lubed the cable like crazy and now it's smooth as silk whoohoo
