Clock Assembly Removal **HELP **

Need help to remove the OEM Clock Cluster on my 2008 FZ6 . what is the method ?
all help is appreciated. thanks

See Yamaha Fazer FZ6 S2 2007 Service Manual ENG for diagram

1. Remove windshield - 6 plastic screws
2. Remove 2 screws each side of main fairing (labeled as 5Nm torque in diagram). They also secure item #1.
2a. Remove item #1 both sides.
3. Remove item #5 - 4 screws
4. Remove mirrors - 4 nuts
5. Unscrew front indicator brackets (#3) - 2 screws each side
5a. unplug the connectors to the headlamp bulbs.
5b. Pull out the side lights.
6. Unplug 2 electrical connectors in near/side of fairing and roughly above n/s front indicator bracket
7. 3 screws remain which secure the front fairing #4 to the headlamp assembly. Undo these and standing at the front of bike pull the main fairing towards you.

You now have access to the instrument unit which is screwed to the framework with 3 screws.
Undo these and you can lift the instrument unit and other wires.

You should be able to strip the front down in half an hour.

I did it last weekend. I dropped my bike and had to straighten the frame which supports the front headlight assembly and fairing.

Top tip - cover your front mudguard as you will drop nuts, screws and hex keys onto it. Cover your tank also particularly when removing item #1.

so i have taken all but 1 screw out, this last screw securing the front fairing on is behind the clock cluster, and i can not find a way to get at this last screw ?

Referring to diagram on 4-2,

Headlight assembly is not labeled in the diagram so I'll label it #10

P = philips head screw
H = hex head screw

Item #10 is secured to the front fairing frame with 4P screws.
Item #4 is secured to #10
A screw on each side where the side light is. = 2P
A screw in the middle = 1P
2 screws for each indicator bracket = 4P
Item #5 is secured with
1H near each mirror mount point = 2H
1H either side of the clocks = 2H

The order of removal is #5, #4, #10.

I think your problem is I failed to tell you to remove #10 which is secured by 4P screws.
Having done that you'll have free access to the 3 type P screws securing the clocks to the fairing frame.

I'm pretty sure I've got the number of fixings correct. I've written this from memory. The fixing you cannot get access to must be one of the above.
