Cheap handlebar risers

Just thought I'd share my idea for some reasonable handlebar risers

I am using the Handle bar holders for the 06 (got spare ones from CrazyBiker) in my 07, Just inverted them & used them with longer hex bolts ($3).

Had it in the stock handlebar & was way better than w/o. Now have installed the FZ1 handle & like it as I don't have to rotate the bars upwards too much & have decent tank clearance.

That's a great idea. About how much rise does that provide, maybe 3/4"? Just to insure that I have it right, is the illustration below correct? Any chance you could post a picture?

Perfect illustration ;-) . Yeah they provide appx 3/4" rise which is sufficient for me. (Stock position would give me shoulder ache after a long ride)

Brilliant! That is exactly what I was going to go with about 3 weeks ago, but went with Renthal Ultra Low Road bar instead.
Only issue now is I can't find heavy bar ends to mount on it.

I am guessing stock cables are long enough with your setup to not have to replace anything?

Thanks. I went to the parts place you provided to see what you were talking about, and with a bit of screen capturing and cutting and pasting it was pretty easy to illustrate for myself, so I thought I'd share.

Thanks for the pictures. One thing I was hoping for but appears did not happen was that the finish of the "risers" would be a perfect match to the finish of the '07 top-triple and handlbar clamp. Is the finish on top-triple of the '06 different from the '07+, or do the clamps not even match the bike they came from?
