hello,

am just after some advice, i have many dead pixel on my speedo. so i bought a second hand display from the UK (im in Australia) my original display has 3 plugs:

1 with six wires
2nd with four wires
3rd with one wire

the one from the UK only has 2 plugs

1 with six
2nd with five

as far as i can tell all wires are the same but plugs obviously wont fit. should i cut plugs and wire up individually.

thanks

ps can send pics if that helps

Sounds like you're dealing with 11 wires. Do the color codes make sense? There are plugs out there that you'd probably be able to swap the pins out and come up with the two plugs or use the plugs you have and swap pins to match what you need. What ever you do match the color codes and you should be okay.
And :welcome: to our great forum!

I plan to put on Fz1 speedo to my belowed Fz6 Sa these days. Everthing seems plug and play with S2 headlight wiring harness, except the ABS light seems always on with this mod.
May be if i discover the wiring diagrams, i can turn it off with some short cuts. Any help would be usefull.

Also if anyone has any idea about changing odometer readings, my bike has 34k km recently, but the new odometer reads 6000 miles (11k km) It would be great if i could adjust it.
