I noticed on some race bikes the brake oil container is right in front of the bike set high by the visor screen. What is the purpose of it being there? Does it have something to do with those bikes being down and low around corners and allowing gravity to force it to the hydraulic brakes better?

Thanks guys, :cheer:

Guessing it has more to do with being in the riders visibility and ease of bleeding the system by keeping the reservoir as the absolute highest point in the system. Gravity and centripetal forces are very very weak compared to the hydraulic force in a brake system. Realistically though with a master cylinder designed to use a remote reservoir you could place it anywhere you want

i was always wondering that too. Maybe to always see if you have enough fluid so when your'e going a 150mph, you know you will have brakes to slow you down:BLAA:
