Hey Guys,

I've been scouring the threads here and while there is a lot of very good info, it's very scattered for what I'm looking for , so I'd like to try and condense the info I need into one thread... I have a 2008 FZ6...

  1. Could I get some feedback on some very good brands of brake pads, and the best material choice for just normal street riding (traffic, highway, back streets, 10% twisties)?

  • Any other advice on changes to make while doing brake pads. In other words, brake lines, etc...

  • Does anyone have any really good links to websites and/or videos that show the process of changing the brake pads (and any other recommended equipment)?

Thanks everyone!

I put HEL SS brake lines on my 2007. They make a big difference, even with the stock original pads. 3/4-1" pull on the lever, my front brake is solid, fully locked up. I could probably do a stoppie but don't trust myself... They use a separate line from each caliber direct to the MC with a longer bolt attaching both lines to the MC. Its a little easier to bleed as well not having the stock "front fender over" line.. Rear line was also easy to install/bleed...

Well worth the investment.
