That looks very nice. I agree it should be like that stock. What type of paint (brand and such) did you use? I might have to go on a painting spree.

i've thought about doing this. especially when i get to the point of needing to doing the neck bearings. is this something a do it at home buy like me could do and get good results with? or should i be looking to take it somewhere? all painted? or get top triple powder-coated and the bars painted? or all powder-coated? btw, i have an 06 so i don't have that top clamp.

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I see a line of cars and theyre all painted black
With flowers and my love both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a new born baby it just happens every day
I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my red door and it has been painted black
Maybe then Ill fade away and not have to face the facts
Its not easy facin up when your whole world is black

No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue
I could not foresee this thing happening to you
If I look hard enough into the settin sun
My love will laugh with me before the mornin comes

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
Hmm, hmm, hmm,...
I wanna see it painted, painted black
Black as night, black as coal
I wanna see the sun blotted out from the sky
I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted black
Yeah!

Sooooo nice! That is something I was planning, may have to bump it up my list of priorities now! Did you use different paint on the bars? Or are they aftermarket ones? Also, were you able to paint the triple while it was on the bike or did you have to remove it? If so, how did you manage to get the lock etc off?

Cheers

Ive done the same thing,
For easy masking of the ignition switch i used 2 toilet rolls with splits from end to end, and lots of news paper every where else, it looks soooooo much better than silver.

nice work!!!

That looks absolutly great. That's just paint and not powder coated? Great job. Like the others have said, great another mod for my FZ. Is there no end to the mods? Seriously that's part of the fun, but the best part is riding.
