I just finished with a fork swap, installed an 08 R6 front end with a Fz6N headlight, I also shorten the headlight harness just to eliminate a bundle of wire and make it nice and tidy. Problem is that my bike wont start. There is no fuel pump coming to life once the key is in on and no relays picking up. Check the battery and it was sitting at 12.8V, horn, turning signals and hazard lights don't work either. Check fuses and all are good, hooked up a meter to a horn and pressed the button no 12V at all, horn switch is working just fine.
Prior to my mod I removed the battery and kept it in a house, also removed the speedo. Now the only think that works is a clock.
Did I fry something?? I checked the harness too wire by wire seems ok. :(

Ok Problem fixed.
Little heads up.....found a wire connector inside a frame on a left hand side was disconnected no idea how it happen but it did. Somewhat pain in a rear end to get to but not impossible, had to remove the air box just to see the little bugger.
Anyhow made the repair put everything back together and my girl turn over on a first crank, all power restored.
