bar ends

Im thinking of getting rid of the chrome mirrors on my 2009 fz6n and replacing them with bar end mirrors, has anyone done this yet? I dont really want to remove the current bar end weights (does removing them make much of a difference?) but getting bar end mirrors to fit over the current bar end weights looks awkwared because the bar end weights are tapered!

I was thinking of getting a pair similar to these:

and removing the bit that fits inside the bars and try and fit them over the current bar end weights. Does any one have any other suggestions or recomend a pair of mirrors?

Swap out the stock bars and get Drag bars or similar.You can choose whatever bar end mirrors you like.I've noticed not a single difference by taking off the bar end weights and I don't dwaddle along

Visibility is much better,but depending on what set you get filtering through traffic can be harder if they stick right out like bat ears!

Good call on the Motrax ones.But I've spent I few pennies more and got their Micro version.Just seems better put together.

Very easy to fit them on original bar ends. Just move the grips in 1/2" and that will expose part of bar end which is perfectly even in diameter. These mirrors mount right on top of that area.
I've been using these for a bit and I'm very happy with them.
