Hey there

My names Mandy and just moved here to San Marcos,TX to finish up school here at TX State.. New to the area and was wondering if anyone around here would like to go riding? Had no plans last weekend so I just took a 7 hr roundtrip to the beach and back .. it was pretty fun but would like to see if anyone out theres wants to ride as well and just explore texas :-). Safe riding to all!

Mandy

There was a little group of FZ6 riders(Hellgate and Rider1A among others I think) in Austin but I haven't seen any of them post up recently. I'm a ways west of you but usually head over to Dallas and Houston every year; usually I take the car though, I go to Supra Nationals and it would be awkward to show up to a car thing on a bike:D

Hey Mandy. I live just outside Houston (Katy). I don't know of any groups in Austin, but there are 3 groups that are active in the area depending on what sort of riding you are interested in.

Two Wheeled Texans Two Wheel Texans area a group of riders from all over Texas that share a love of riding. They meet once a month for a Pie run (this month's is scheduled for 9/25 in Hutto just outside Austin).

MotoHouston/ are a group of mostly sportbike riders but mostly in the Houston area. They are known for "spirited" pace Sunday Morning Rides.

High Performance Crew HPC are also mostly sportbikes, but have more of a racing focus. Members of HPC get a discount with RideSmart track days.

RideSmart trackdays organize track days around Texas and even if you are not in to racing it's still fun to go to a RideSmart track day and take part in the Parade Laps (escorted track laps).

I usually ride with a buddy (FZ6R) and our rides are usually around the 150-250 mile round trip length with a stop somewhere in the middle for lunch. Last weekend was a ride to the Southern Flyer Diner at Brenham Airport

hello mandy...i live in new braunfels...i work this weekend but next weekend i am off..not too far from san marcos..maybe we can catch up...

I love New Braunfels, we don't get any German food in New Mexico. Have you seen any of the new RSV4s riding around since you have the big Aprilia dealer there?

I live in South Austin off s. congress , I got two 2007 FZ6's and also a XB12XT Buell and a KLR650 supermoto. I'm ready to go , we're going tubing in new braunfels saturday come join us!

I'm another Autininite. I don't have a whole lot of time for riding lately. I'm too busy with flying. But on Sunday afternoons I can often be found at LoveJoy's having cold one and watching MotoGP on the big screen.

I'd love to go too, but it's a tad far for me. I am planning a trip to Key Largo, Fl. next summer so I'm pretty excited about that. Still in the planning stages for now though.
