'Audi-style' LED's installed under my R6 Projectors

Wasn't sure if I would like it or not, but once they lit up I knew they are here to stay. They are brighter than they come across in the pics. I didnt go the whole bottom of the lense, only to the part of the lense that have the lines in it that diffuse the light from the pod-lights(if that makes sense!?!?)

Heres some pics....

ps..the reason I did this mod was I had the fairing off to do the steering head bearings. Replaced with ALLBALLS roller bearings. They feel awesome.. Definite improvement over the old bearing..lol

That is a good look indeed, must be more impressive at night?

Those poor bearings, damn:eek:

I think I would prefer it if you could use the LED as low-beam only (with projectors OFF), and turn them off automatically when you switch to high beams (projectors ON). It's a bit too busy with both on at the same time imho.

Doesn't the Audi use it for low beam only?

Yea, Audi uses them as day-time running lights only, but mines a FZ6, and the last thing I want to do is reduce my visibilty to the oncoming cagers. Where I'm from(prob where your from 2), a biker is killed every week or 2 from those damn left-turners.

While the light output from these LED's are bright, I dont think they compare to Audi size, quality, output. In a perfect world I would probably roll with just the LEDs on, but as it stands, I have my high-beams on 95% time.

I hear you.

I always ride with my high beams on too... did not help the last time I had one of those "left turners" incident... she "did not see me"...

Nice addition there Laz, I like the look with the color matching LEDs to the HID projectors... very unique:rockon:

I was concerned when I did my mod http://www.600riders.com/forum/fz6-mods/17557-audi-style-leds-2007-fz6.html

but I find people notice me just the same with just the LED runners on without the lows on. The color and intensity is at the perfect eye level and with my friend in a car and me coming at him he says its very noticeable. To each their own but I find it just as visible as the lows. If I want I just flip on the low beams with the switch. :) looks good though!

I just love the love of your Projectors head lamps.Any link on how you performed the mod? Will it works on a 08 model?

looks great!

ps: I've gone through THREE sets of stock bearings before replacing with ALL BALLS. I only did it a few months ago, but so far so good!
