Any recommendation on how to clean exhaust pipes?

Autosol and a Dremel with polishing head.
Note: Do NOT use Harpic 10x as many people suggest. Yes, it will get the pipes looking bright and shiny for a while, but it also damages the stainless steel and causes microscopic pitting which will leave them prone to rusting more in the future!

The header' NEVER been removed from the bike...
**Be forwarned, getting caught in the rain (with road debris), makes little brown spots on it.
Sooo, I get to wash the bike, and address the header with "Mothers" again....
Mine is for pleasure only so I pretty much am able to avoid the rain...
I did add a "Fender Extender" many years ago to help the fender do it's job:
second the dremel and polishing head. i also used a non scratch blue pad. and i used chemical guys heavy metal polish, this is an abrasive compound to help scratch out the rougher look. and then light metal polish, this is more of a chemical reaction rather than an abrasive to help really make it shine. you can go one step further and do a ceramic coating to make the shine last much longer
