I could have sworn I saw a link in one of these threads that had passenger peg removal "cover plates".

I want to pick some up and see if I could put spacers behind them to still allow for a bungee attachment point when I hang my bags on the bike.

Was I hallucinating?

Yup, definitely saw it here, but can't find it either.
If I was going to remove mine (which I won't be doing since I ride 2-up a lot), I'd make them myself

Yep, I was looking at the FZ8 blanking plates made by R&G... unfortunately, they don't fit. Making my own will be on the cards now.
