It is not nessesary but a helpful addition to squeeze out every last HP. :rockon:

I believe there are guys on here with exhaust/airbox mods/ and bmp/k&n filters with no fuel controller.

There are lots of posts on how to hot wire the ecu and adjust your CO yourself. I've done it and it works good.

You can get just about any one for FZ6. You will not need fuel controller until you start doing some other mods.

I have a Two Bros slip on and no fuel controller. Pops a little under deceleration, but I don't notice any loss of power at high RsPM. If I were to get a K&N (or other) then I would certainly pick up a Two Bros Juice Box.

I have the Leo Vince w/cat eliminated and a K&N filter, with out using any type of fuel management system. The only drawback, as mentioned by other members, is some slight backfiring/"popping" with the throttle in the completely closed position. It's not enough of a problem to justify spending the cash on a power commander. Although I do know they will do more things for you, but honestly, there is not enogh of a straight road where I live to open it up the way it's set up now, let alone with even more HP. MATT

When I first got my Two Bros and didn't have any other mod. The only difference I noticed was when warming up. It warmed up differently. Then again I hadn't disconnected the battery so it never reset the computer. Disconnect the battery when you do the exhaust. You should be good to go when all is installed and you reconnect the battery.
