Adjust Rear Brake and Gear Pedals

Hi, New 2008 FZ6 owner here.

I find my rear brake pedal to be too high, I am wondering if anyone has a picture indicating where the adjustment can be done? I am wondering if it would be similar for the shifter pedal as well?

Note - One of the shift rod locknuts is reverse-threaded, watch out for that.

for shifter adjustment, it says that those two points should be in line with each other. would there be any problems if a person wanted to adjust it so that the shifter was a little lower? that is waht i would like to do, but not sure if it will cause the bike to shift different.

You can adjust it to any location that is comfortable for you, with the following caveats:
1. if you lower it, you might have a tendancy to not release it fully between upshifts. By this I mean you will upshift, let your toe down while keeping it under the shifter but not let your toe down far enough to reset the shifter mechanism for the next upshift. So when you try to shift up, you will stay in the same gear.
2. If you adjust it too low, on downshifts the shifter will start to either hit the kickstand mounting bolt, or the upper part of the shift pedal (the portion above the pivot point) will start to hit the footpeg mounting plate. Either will prevent proper downshifting. The former can be remedied by bending the lever outward. The latter requires metal removal from the shift lever.
