600 mile service

Did service myself($220 @ dealer).Oil filter came off easy,but I had to hang off of 1/2 ratchet to break loose drain plug,probably used impact at factory.Lubed cables,chain was still within spec so I just lubed it.Checked air in tires and did everything else in manual.It looks like rubber on shifter and brake pedal is fraying(for lack of better word)off,anybody else have this problem?Great site,very informative.

If you wear the rubber off the shifter and brake then you know you are riding it.

Mine look like i might have to peplace them before the end of the year.
