Our best days may already be behind us and a day is coming to mark "the end of the world as we know it" (TEOTWAWKI). This is the dreaded day when the good times of prosperity, freedom, stability and security that we enjoy and downright expect today are over. This generation has never seen a Great Depression, Holocaust or World War but realizes evil and danger have multiplied in the world since those days making it unreasonable to expect that history will not repeat itself.............. Physical evidence points to the facts that the earth’s magnetic field has weakened by 8% in the past 150 years, the sun’s coronal magnetic flux has doubled in the past century, and the magnetic north pole has moved 1,000 km in the past 100 years. The last sunspot cycle ended with two of the biggest flares in history, and the second highest sunspot count on record. The next solar max will be in 2012, the year of the Global Shift, the extinction of Time Wave Zero, the end of the Mayan Long Count.......... P.S. Add to that, my neighbor just told me that something the size of the planet earth hit Jupiter and supposedly NASA and any of our GV't didn't know about it till some Australian amateur astronomer told them about it. I'm going to Google this now. I think that's a pretty big event and if we didn't see it coming :spank: what's going on? :spank:

EDIT: Sorry that was Hawaiin astronomers and it was about a mile. The thing that's going to hit my neighbors planet tomorrow will be my fist. My brothers use to always say my fist made a whirring sound when it went by. I think I'll wind it up just like Popeye. Okay say your head is Jupiter......incomming! whirring sound....

The LCN didn't kill us... just sent us into a different dimension. The whole "it's broken and we're about to fix it" is the cover up to get us back to normal. Kinda like a giant Honey I Shrunk the Kids movie.

As for 2012, i don't think the world will end, but it is curious that so many things are pointing to this date as a big event. One not mentioned is that it will be the first time any of us will be alive during a galactic alignment, and i quote,

"On four occasions within the 25,800-year cycle our galactic centre aligns with the sunrise of a solstice or equinox. The last time it occurred was on a fall equinox 6,450 years ago, approximately the dawn of Old World civilisations. On Dec 21, 2012, which is a winter solstice (Northern Hemisphere) this centre will align with our sun once more."

If that's not important... it sure is interesting to geeks like me!

This fact isn't nearly as frightening as it sounds! The Mayans kept extremely detailed astronomical records and they followed the cycles of the planets and stars as they travel around in their orbits. We are currently in the 4th cycle recorded by the Maya. It started in 3114B.C. and lasts for 5126 years until 2012. With the end of the 4th cycle comes... the beginning of the 5th cycle. The Maya believe that in the 5th cycle the ancient wisdom of the Maya will be rediscovered by the world and it will be a new dawn for mankind!

I have a friend who lost his father fairly young, he is afraid of his own shadow and constantly thinks about death. I see how much it affects all aspects of his life (he thinks I am absolutely nuts to ride) and just feel sorry for him. no amount of reason will get him to change his mind either.....

That's crazy,because my Dad died when I was 29 and it changed my life.I stopped sweatin the small stuff and realy started living my life to the fullest I could possibly afford...I'm personally not worried about the 2012 thing myself,because God said no man will know when the end is coming..I just thought this is an interesting topic and wanted to see what evry one else thought about it....and looks like no one is worried,just lot's of people saying be good to others and live it up!!! It wouldn't be so bad if "life as we know it, came to an end" Earth and the people who inhabit it need a drastic overhaul. Our world has gotten out of hand. We are killing the planet everyday, more and more. All this bull**** the government throws around about being "green" is complete nonsense. They want us to remember to turn our lights off to conserve energy, then have places like vegas up and running full tilt. I don't think me leaving my bedroom light on is the problem here!?
Governments spend billions on wars, then their companies get billions more to rebuild what they've destroyed. That would be like if ambulance drivers got paid by the call and went around hitting people with their vehicle.
We've got money for war but can't feed the poor. . .Hmm. Maybe if they educated people more we could make a difference. Oh wait I forgot there's no funding for that either. . . all the money's been spent on better, more efficient ways to kill eachother from farther away.

I think they tried to start the LHC and it did one of those 40 kazillion dollar farts.....They have to get another kazillion bucks to fix it right. They'll probably get it going right in 2012.

My neighbors always come out thinking it's the end of the world when I start up my bike. Only kidding, my neighbors are the best and I promise I won't hit the neighbor who told me about the earth size meteor hitting Jupiter with one of my stray fist sized neutrino's. Hahaha....

Besides their astronomy and mathematics, weren't the Mayans also into human sacrifice? Believing that ripping someone's heart out is going to somehow impact anyone else besides the poor s.o.b. who's getting his heart ripped out, um yeah.

2012. It's the year between 2011 and 2013. I'll turn 50 that year. Crap, I guess that means that the world is going to end.
