2008 Dash Question

Hi everyone

My name is Stuart from South Africa. New to this forum..

I got my brand new Fazer on Saturday and have a quick question.

Is it possible to change the temperature from F to Celcius?

Yes the instructions are in the manual.
Or I believe just hit reset and the other button at the same time while its on.

Nope, I cant find it anywhere in the manual.

I would prefer to see degree celsius rather than degree fehrenheit.

The manual states the instructions for changing the bike from miles to kilometers, and I believe this process changes the temperature to celsius as well. Try turning the key to the on position, and then holding the select button for more than a second.

I can get the dash to see miles to km/h no problem but cannot get the tempreture to change.

Is this a known fact that it can change?

You in Pretoria? I grew up in SA but now live in UK!! Dont remember seeing too many bikes over there other than the common place 50 / 125s used by 16 & 17 year olds. I had a honda 50 MBX when I was 16 (all we were allowed back then!).

Sorry cant answer your question at the mo but I am sure I have managed to get my .C display into .F but I think it was by accident. I am out on the bike in the morning so I will see if I can remember how I did it and post back.

I'm not sure mine changes from F to C, but to change from mph to kph on the U.S. models you turn on the bike and hold down the 'reset' button for several seconds.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I am in Pretoria. There is a huge amount of bikes on the roads these days.

I would love to have the dash read C so please keep at it and let me know.

ive just been through yamahas PDF manuals on their website..it appears that there is no way of changing the temp setting unless i missed somehting
