2005 to 2008 fairing conversion will they fit?

i have a 2005 fz6 that has been in a front in collision. i bought the bike from an auction 2 days ago and dont know much about it. I have other bikes so i do know something about working on them. I have found a 2008 fz6 parts bike that i would like to takes the fairings lights and most all the front end part and put them on mine but i was wondering if they would fit and work correctly. if anyone knows anything about it i would apreciate the input. Thanks.

it'll work, I swapped out my 06 for an 07 front fairing. Only issue you may have is that the gauge assemblies are different so unless you swap them out too you won't be able to put all the inner fairing pieces in under the windscreen. if you have access to a 08 for all the parts I'd grab the gauge assembly and the wiring harness while you are at it. They are hard to find use and new are upwards of $400

The only part that's the same is the headlights, everything else is different.
