I'm posting this on behalf of a friend in Los Angeles, California.
Hi, I hope everyone is doing fine.
I have not seen some of you for awhile.;
I took a ride last week with a friend who was using my 2004 FJR1300 ABS.
He went into the wrong side of the rode up in Sequoia on Hwy 180 and hit a car.
Thanks god he walked away from it with a few bruises.
He basically got a brain fart and forgot what country he was in since he lives in Australia.
We paid a guy to bring the bike back to Los Angeles.
I am negotiating a settlement for the bike with the insurance company right now and wanted to find out if any of you are interested in the bike or the items I have added on to it.
These are just a few of the extras I have installed and will be for sale or take the whole enchilada;
It has a Bill Mayer Leather seat ( both half's - costs over $600 ) I believe it fits 03-05 models.
Givi rear box V46N ( has minor scratches) with built in LEDs that work great, heavy duty rear mounting plate for the Givi made by Premier Cycles.
The bike is salvageable but it has major front damage. It does not look like the frame has damage but I am not sure.
The rear tire was just replaced with a Road Pilot 2 and has less than 400 miles on it ( no damage) .
Throttlemeister ( throttle control and bar end weights- chrome ) .
Handle bar set backs. Up about 3/4 inch and back about 3/4 of an inch.
There are some other items but I cannot remember them right now.
The engine still starts and was running perfect at the time of the accident. The bike is located in West Los Angeles and I have the Pink slip.
What it all comes down to is if someone wants to purchase the bike we can negotiate it once I find out what the
insurance company wants for a buy back. If that does not work out I will sell some of the items I have added on.
