Why can I only get about 12 litres of petrol in my tank if it's a 19 litre tank? I guess I'm being really stupid but I've just filled it up as far as I could get it and I could only get just over 12 litres in it?

What?

This depends on where you start ofcourse. I have an average of 18 km per litre. The spare is about 3.9 litres. So after 70 km the tank should be complete empty. I drive up to 100 km on the spare tank and i never had more than 17.5 litres to fill it up complete.
Ok, but 12 litres seems wrong I should think. Do you fill it up till the edge of what looks like kind of filter?

Is it on the centre stand if you have one. Else as I do you have to take the nozzle out of the hole to get the last litres in.

All good advice, I am also guessing that you are filling it up when its nearly half full or your guage has a problem.

Question is... was it completely empty when you filled it up. Ride it until it runs out of gas and you will get the 19L...;)

Yup that'll do it and just think, it may do in that high speed fuel pump when it runs dry too.....

I put 4 gallons in mine when i fill it up but i usually dont get too far into the reserve before i put gas in. Not how much that is in litres (liters?) all these UK words make my head hurt............:D
