12v outlet installation

So where is everyone installing it? I'm a bit tossed at finding a good spot.

Mine is zip tied to the right side of the subframe. It is controlled by a safety toggle switch on the front of the bike. It is wired directly to the battery so that I can use it to charge something even if the bike is not on. That is the reason for the safety toggle, as long as the red cover is closed, there is no way the switch can be on and drain the battery. I will probably bend up a more permanent mount out of sheet metal when I get a chance.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to tuck it in the fairing somewhere on it's own bracket,
rather than make a hole in the panels. (in case there is a trade-in later).
The outlet from Amazon came in, and feels heavy duty.. Lifetime warranty too :)

I don't have a pic, but I just moved mine to the fairing stay under the speedo. The stay has a hole, and I just bolted it through. I can take a pic if it helps.
