Just hit 10,000 miles on my 08 FZ6, bought it new in May. I commute around 120 miles a day 4 days a week. Just wondering if anyone else has come close to this.

Wow. That's very impressive! My 'commute' is literally across the street. I used to think that was awesome, but I kinda wish I had an excuse to ride the bike every day.

I'm at 27,400mi after 19 months. Your going to catch up to me at some point. I commute 40 miles round trip 4 days a week. Then I usually hit the twisties on my days off.

my commute is half yours (60 mi round trip) and i just rolled over 5k..im hoping to get another 1-2k in before it gets too cold..

My commute is just under 50 miles return, and I've managed 13000km or 8000 miles since may:thumbup:. This is bound to accelerate now we're coming into spring and summer:rockon:...lol. I think my backside is the same shape as the seat now:D. Love your work:thumbup:
Cheers
Mike

lol same here...so glad I got the fz6 instead of the r6, don't think I could of logged all those miles bent over.

Ive had my since like june 1st and I have put just about 7k miles on it, with a move from illinois to cali inbetween. For the first month ive been here, My commute was 10 min, now its 25 miles.

So not that close to you:Flip:

I have put 5000 miles on my new bike since May, and I never use it to commute, only for fun. Work related driving since May (I'm a project manager for an IT company) = 12.000 miles.

So riding my bike plus my car since May = 17.000 miles.

I was looking at the R6's when I was in the market for a new bike. I'm glad I didn't buy one either. About 90% of my riding is commuting to and from work and wanted something comfortable and practical. When I go on group rides at the end of the day everyone is worn out and ready to go home and I'm still feeling pretty fresh. I often say that Yamaha custom built this bike just for me. It will be a while before I find another bike that I like better.

Sounds about right. I've had my '05 for 6 months and have put about 11,000 on it. I also took a 2500 mile trip to Nova Scotia on the '07 Harley. (Which has 15,000 on it!). My commute is 65 miles one way 4-6 days/week.

:rof: I know what you mean man. I live 2.4 miles from my work and loved it. But when I got the bike I always find myself thinking dam I wish I lived further away.

I wish I lived that close to work. I would ride a bicycle most of the time and save the wear and tear on my vehicles. Of course I would not have 27K on the bike right now either. It's kind of a badge of honor or something.
