It's been great, but time for a change.

Here it is.... Big, solid bike, same BHP as the Fz, more torque, much heavier but kinda fun all the same. A few things to sort (fork seals, oil change etc) but I can do them as I go. At least the sun is shining over here so I can get out & ride!

It's been great, but time for a change.

It's one of these, haven't picked it up yet so here's a pic from the web... 4cyl 900cc Shaft drive. The one I'm buying has a set of Yamaha panniers, I believe they're Krauser K2. Mine is also black & has 25,500 miles on it, so it's quite low for an old 'un. Thanks for the kind comments.

It's been great, but time for a change.

Well, after a lot of soul searching I've decided to sell the trusty Fz. :( I've decided I need a fairing, some hard luggage and a slightly more 'relaxed' ride to get me some longer distances so I've bought a 900 Diversion (quit sniggering at the back!). I'd just like to say a big thank you to...

    Front end diving

How old is the bike? I've got an '04 Fz6N and replaced the fork oil last year, it made a lot of difference. The stuff I took out was gray & gungy, the new stuff was clear & runny. Quite an eye opener!

LIDL UK - It's that time again

Went to Lidl today, would have bought a Matt Black helmet but even the XL wouldn't fit my massive head. :( They did look pretty good quality for the money though.

    UK Bikers go to ALDI

The Jackets looked pretty good for £40, and even had a half decent back protector instead of the usual bit of sponge. I couldn't justify buying yet another jacket, but I did get a thermal top & a 'windstopper' top. I wonder if it'll stop me farting??

LIDL UK - It's that time again

I agree, for £40 the Aldi jackets looked a bargain, the only reason I didn't get one was I couldn't figure out how I was going to explain to the wife why I needed ANOTHER jacket!! :( I did buy one of their thermal tops though, as well as a 'Windstopper' shirt which looked worth the risk for a...

Any UK riders replaced Steering Head Bearings?

I put taper rollers in mine earlier this year, made a hell of a difference! Surprising what you can ride with when you don't know any different!

F/S in UK. Textile Touring style jacket, XL.

Uvex Performance Textile touring style jacket, black & silver, size extra large. Laid flat with the zip fastened it measures about 25" across under the armpits and the waist tapers down a little to around 23". At a guess I'd say it was 46" to 48" Chest. I am 42" chest and I find it too big...

    Touring in the Old Days

Yep, good ol' 550 four Honda! Seem to remember it was a 550 f but maybe I'm wrong, it was a while back! If you could get over a ton, downhill with the wind behind you, you were happy! Bit different to the Fz! (not that I'd ever exceed the speed limit :spank: )
