i bought my fz6 as my first bike with very little riding experience. i taught myself how to ride it, i didn't take any classes, and i paid a pretty high price. i dropped it the fourth day i had it with no gear on, going about 40 in a tshirt and sun glasses. road rash is not fun. and neither is...
I used to have a 4x4 atv I would rip around the trails near my house. It was no ones property and at the time a lot of kids were riding in there. Unfortunately, some crazy hermit thought those woods were his. They are not, they are public water shed area. I'm sure he hunts all over them though...
i hadn't seen that, so thanks... these are the things that stop me from pushing the limit and keep me alive. reminding yourself of the dreadful consequences is a great way to stay safe.
you quit cold turkey???? you mean you didn't use the ganja patch?!?!

I went for a ride this weekend with my girlfriend and we came across barkhamsted resivoir. this has to be the most pristine and untouched part of connecticut i have ever seen. i wish i had a real camera with me, these were taken with my cell phone.
yeah i wouldn't buy one. i used to want one when i first started riding, but quickly learned how the gears line up in relation to speed and rpm. if i can remember right, at 4k rpm-- 3rd is ~35, 4th ~40, 5th ~45, and 6th ~50. sometimes i count gears up and down, especially when im rippin it thru...
hahaha I'm happy there are so many riders out there that have experienced my pain! Ha just kidding, but I'm glad to hear all of you have been stung and made it out safely.
The name says it all. What a horrible event. I was going about 75 on the highway when a wasp or some sort of large stinging insect collided with my neck and then somehow made it in the collar of my t-shirt under my jacket.
It stung me five times on my back, and at first it burned so bad I...
ha right! she sends an email to ask what happened? what about turning around, or even a phone call? what if you crashed or even had a break down? that's not the group i want to ride with.
I'm selling a brand new set of derlin frame sliders. They are for the fz6, of course. I have the exact same set on my '07 and they match the matte black engine nicely. They are made by Volar Motorsport.
Price is $30 shipped, which is cost. I won't ship outside the country.
yeah there's so many of those smart sensing lights around me, i have to run at least one every time i ride. stupid engineers don't think about motorcycles...
thanks all for your quick replies, this forum really is great. it's raining today, but tomorrow i'll get out and try letting the clutch out with each down shift. hopefully that will solve it. if it still persists i'll check the lube, shift lever binding, and clutch free play.
