Not sure why you would need the pump/compressor on a regular basis to avoid running to the gas station? Do you need to go to the station just for air? Does your tire pressure drop so often? Tire pressure should hold true for some time unless there is a problem with the tire.
And most gas...
Its pretty simple to do, just make sure the wheel is clean and take your time.
Also make sure you get them by the wheel size, the ones which are cut curved to the wheel size go on real easy. And do it in small steps. I didn't use the plastic applicator and it came out fine. Plastic applicator...
I had both an FZ6 and a DL650. Both are similar and yet different. Both are good bikes but FZ6 is more sporty vs DL650 is more touring/long haul oriented. With 4 cylinders, FZ6 is great at top end torque. DL650 on the other hand has better low end torque with a two cylinder V, and is more...
I see two issues: Range and replacement cost of the battery (battery life?).
Range: At this range (40-45 miles top) it is more of an accessory vehicle, because you still have to have another vehicle for longer trips. That means its added cost ($7995 vs savings on short trip commute) as someone...
Modular helmets are a little roomier around the chin area (because of the flip up swing action), and not as much padding, but they still provide a hard cover around the chin area compared to open face, which at the most will have only a visor if at all.
My wife is claustrophobic and didn't...
If the parts fail for some reason while riding, warranty is the last thing i would be thinking about......
Long warranties dont mean much if the bike is going to be in the shop most of the time!
My experince with Kia (same deal, Korean manufacturer, good price, long warranty...) has not been...
Nice bike. The Silver/Black mix really goes well with the naked look.
Good deal too.
Agree with the mirrors - chrome finish (looks like) and long handles look totally out of place.
First of all, just because they get paid well does not make them bad. I am sure the job is open for anyone who is willing.... This is a job in hazardous, hostile, life threatening conditions. I don't see any reason why they shouldn't get paid well.
Secondly, would he have been justified in...
Thanks, I did that. When teh ignition is off the switch is closed (0 res). But when you turn the ignition on, the switch is open, pulling the lever still does not change it. So I guess I need to replace the switch..
I was hoping to find something easy.
Any ideas on where and how on...
Just noticed this morning that the tail light was not working, so went and got a new bulb. Tail light works fine, brake light works fine with the rear brakes. But front brake lever is not activating the brake light. When I pull the brake lever I can hear a click of the switch, but brake light...
I have done some night riding and if the traffic is very light, it is kind of fun.
I don't like it when the traffic is still heavy in the night - like CA highways - too many lights in all lanes. It gets a little distracting. Especially at the end of work day, sometimes I find it hard to watch...
Looking at the sprocket pictures it is definiteky your chain. I am just surprised how far the dust gets spread out on FZ6 (to the shifter pedal?).
I had the same thing happen to me on my Suzuki V-Strom. I would clean/lube the chain and sprocket, and by next week again it had similar rust...
Yes, but I dont care. I have walked away from a crash with just bruises, and am living to tell the story because of the gear. So would I invest a few mintues in gearing up and ignore the ridicule - you bet!
Man that looks and sounds bad, lowside going at 60-65!!
Glad you are ok. Hope you get through this soon. I wrecked mine about 5 months ago in the middle of CA traffic. I was more mad at myslef than anything else.
I am surprised and glad that you walked away from it and even took the pictures...
Lewis:
I didn't dismantle the whole system. I took the caliper off, took the pads off. Cleaned the springs, cleaned as much of the piston as was showing out with WD40 (didnt take them off, didn't bleed the fluid). Tried to get some grease around the pistons and pushed them in for mounting. Also...
Just got done with the front calipers and disc floats.
I hope I did the floats right - I tried to get some white lithium in the gap between the disc and the black bracket, was very careful not to get it on the disc surface.
Opened up the calipers and cleaned the cylinders and springs, Tried...
