    GPS electrical connection

I attached a Battery Tender pigtail to the battery. This has a 7.5A replacable (somehow it did its job once) fuse inline. I then had a custom cable made by Powerlet Products that went from the tender's SAE plug to a mini-USB (with the appropriate inline circuitry). So, I just uncap the...

    New oil pan installation

When I had to replace mine (for the same reason--over tightening the drain plug), I believe my cousin did use a gasket sealant when he put it back together. I'm not exactly sure what he used, though. I don't know if it's 'necessary,' but i think the idea was we might as well make sure it's sealed.

How NOT to do an oil change

I did a similar thing about a year and a half ago. I didn't use a torque wrench, just a normal 6" or whatever ratchet. I wanted to make sure it was good and tight, and ended up stripping the pan. It didn't crack, though. I tried using a +1 bolt for a while, which also didn't crack the pan...

    Headlight mod video

Your instincts are correct. Doing it that way means that the low beam on the high beam side will always be on, even if you turn on the high beam, which will cause the bulb to overheat. Other methods turn the low beam off when you turn the high beam on (on the dual-beam side). Carlin

    Gear security system

Great idea and a cheap way to do it. I thought about arranging something like this as well, but haven't really been taking the bike out much where I couldn't just take my backpack along with me. In lieu of a helmet lock, from suggestions I found on other forums, I use a cable gun lock. Got...
