Hmmmm…Let’s see. I suppose if I didn’t write this maybe the feeling would go away. I mean nobody would know any different. But I think it’s one of those things I need to get off my chest or I won’t get passed it, after all it’s been some time now since it happened and it still bugs the crap...
I've got maybe 500 miles on my Spencer seat since I pulled it out of the box. It is really firm, & almost feels hard until you realize the new support you're getting. It's getting better as it breaks in and I swear it actually feels like I'm sitting on a full butt, cruiser type saddle. First...
**UPDATE**
I know it's been a little while but here's the latest.
I've been talking to a guy from OES and he has been very helpful, and it seems, to me anyway, that this problem sort of blindsided them. He did say that the OES individual responsible for the installation procedures, proper...
A good read for those that might have missed it.

Info for future slider installers.....
I had recently returned from a ride and although the engine was not hot to the touch it was still warm.
I had originally installed the left side slider, dry, and then caught my mistake and following the manufacturers specs installed the right side...
It was in fact OES sliders that were going on, the longer version of course. The instructions did mention applying oil to the threads, which I did (a drop) & assumed it was for ease of removal later, however hindsight now suggests maybe it was for ease of installation and should have been...
During the simple task of putting on frame sliders I stripped out the threads in the left side engine mount. You know, hearing that gut wrenching POP that happens right after your mind is telling you "This just doesn't feel right" as you're pulling on that torque wrench.

Ship date for my parts from PowersportsPlus is 5/08, if this is going to hold up production for everybody else then I'll just catch the next go-round. No biggie.
Hey Triple,
In your opening post you showed two examples of nice clean conversions. Just curious, where did you find the pic of that blue bike, and was there any info on the light as far as what it was or where it came from?
I personally feel you can’t be too visible at night. I’ve found some LEDs that Wal-Mart actually used to carry a few years back & put 'em on everything I own. They quit carrying them now, of course, so I have to get them from the internet. They’re good looking, a decent size, non-obtrusive, and...

If you really want to get the best from these horns, use your existing horn wires only for activating the NAPA relay you will be installing. Run a heavier gauge wire from your terminal block (if you have one for aux lts, etc.) through the relay to your horn. No problems.
