If I was a full-time student, I would not be looking for a full-time job. Different priorities. I would ask for more hours if that...
As for leeching... There's a fine line between leeching on the company and being leeched... All things considered, I would go for the former. :)
I have two complaints about the FZ6: lack of torque at low RPM and high insurance cost.
As inconveniences I would list chain drive and my wrist hurts after an hour on the bike. The latter I would think is my fault -- bad riding position and I can adjust.

AgMom, the R1200R is a very nice bike, I loved it. Could not justify the price though.

The sliders (actually, just one) did quite a good job. Both times I went down at speeds much less than 10 mph, first time other than the slider the very tip of the [suspected] mole 2 part got scratched (hardly worth mentioning).
The second time I was... hmm... lucky (??) to go down...
