I tried letting the clutch all the way out and then try to downshift again yesterday but it still wouldn't go into neutral or 1st while rolling to a stop. I noticed after my ride yesterday that the shifter didn't return all they way unless I gave it a little nudge. Perhaps it just needed some...
This happened to me as well. I've got an 05fz6 with 6900 miles. At first I thought I was just missing the gear shifter but when slowing down say from 40mph in 4th gear clutch in and while slowing down trying to select 3rd-2nd-1st without letting the clutch out simply results in the gear...
I also have an 05 fz6 and it is my first bike. I always hated naked bikes but for some reason the fz6 just looks good the way it is. I do have that lower fairing piece covering the headers. The full fairing kits are making the bike something its not really it just doesn't look right. About...
I'll share mine I just got it and put it on tonight (only my 2nd mod in 3 months). I think it really makes the bike look good. It's the dark smoke puig racing screen on an 05 fz6. I took it for a quick spin up to about 70-75mph and I noticed less wind hitting me in the face. Put my hand out...
FZ6 is my first bike as well. Just be careful and don't let your friends put peer pressure on you to go out group riding before your ready or push you to go faster than you are ready either.
Just ordered my motivation frame sliders last night. What's cool is the store is only like 1hr down the road from me which I didn't realize when ordering. How are you ensuring the new bolts are torqued down to 40lb-ft if they are allen wrench bolts?
Took it for my first ride tonight and sure enough I stalled it 3 times in about a 20 minute span. The last stall almost made me drop the bike because I was starting on a hill and making a right turn from a stop sign. Luckily I got my foot down and turned the wheel straight and got it back up...
Sup everyone. Just got a used 2005 FZ-6 with 4200 miles. It's one beautiful dark blue machine. It's my first bike and I love it. I'm sure I'll be reading quite a bit on this forum to learn about my new bike.
