Have tank from my 2006 FZ6. Burgundy, No dents. Small scratches where seat and fairing meet tank but nothing noticable when tank is installed. Clear tank protector installed. $200. I am reasonable and can work out something on the shipping. Not a computer guy. If you would like a picture send me...

Two Wheels Only Motorcycle Resort and Campgrounds

As far as I know, T.W.O. is in Suches, GA and consists of a motorcycle campground and resturant. The resturant is open on weekends and has great food (consider that the steak sandwich is actually a piece of sirloin between two pieces of bread). Hwy 60 south of Suches is an outstandingly curvy...

    4 inch frame sliders? (extended)??

I had a high side back in March with some of the e-bay extended derlin sliders. Bike went down at about 30 mph. The slider was ground down and bent near the mounting point. Little damage to the bike, only plastic broken, no dents or scratches to the tank. The Insurance company and I paid about...

    Alpinestar Octane Gloves

Glad to hear about the kevlar. I have a pair of a* gloves that split at the seam during a slow high side event. a* stepped up to the plate and replaced them at no charge, but now the replacements are wearing early on the thumb material. I'm looking for something more reliable.

    I rode 2,927 miles in a week

It's obvious that you have more stamina than I. It is obvious that you didn't waste much time. You didn't even turn off the bike at the New Hampshire state line to snap a picture. (Your tail light is still on in the photo):D

What is your bad habit on your bike?

My worst habit is listening to my friend Mick when he says "Come on, we'll wait for the rest of them at the top of the mountain"

    Alpinestars boots

Thanks for the info. I look at the liner and didn't see an acceptable method to open up the vents. I like the boots so much that I may just wear them and suffer until October.

    Alpinestars boots

I found a good deal on a pair of SMX-5 boots at a recent track day and bought them without much research. After getting them home I found that they fit well but that they are the waterproof model where the air vents are covered on the inside. Living in the South, they tend to be warm even on...

This is my 06. It has a competition werkes fender eliminator, dual headlight mod and K&N filter. It had about 650 miles on it when I bought it a year ago and it has about 5500 now. In the background is my other ride. They are both about the same top speed.

Looking for a picture...help me if you can...

Here is a picture of my '06 with the dark screen. For very unfortunate reasons (read highside) this windscreen is no longer installed on the bike. I now have a standard Yamaha unit installed and I haven't been able to locate a like replacement for the dark one. If anyone knows who made the...

    Using the Rear Brake

Last week I got an opportunity to experience what happens with too much rear brake. Slowing for a curve in the N. GA mountains, the rear locked up on a tar snake. Next thing I get to experience a separated shoulder. Would have been worse if I had not been wearing correct apparel. High side is...
