2007 and up are called S2. 2004 - 2006 are S1.
The 2 big giveaways are the gauge and the front fairing. The S1 has a round gauge, RPM on the outside and speed on the inside of the circle. The S2 has an analog tach on the right and digital speedo on the left.
Fairing-wise, the S1 has "longer"...
Just finished up working on my bike. Went with the buell headlight assembly. At the same time had the bike re-painted, tail tidy and new indicators.

Overall very happy with the bike right now! Next...
I was quite disapointed with the price thought. It's 15 500$ in canada. For 16k you can get a S1000R with the sport package (all the nice electronics and all).
My 2 choices would have to be either the GSXS1000 or S1000R. But maybe the FZ-10 is really great and worth the extra cash, only a test...
So I have contacted a couple (3) local Harley dealers around where I'm from. 1 doesn't do Buell and the 2 others quoted me the same price:
- 204.99 Headlight assembly Y0721.7AC
- 116.99 Black Windscreen w/ Decal M1600.1ACMW
- 37.99 Headlight Mount M0645.1ADA
With taxes and all comes up to a...
Hi all,
So as the title says, after thinking about it for awhile I have decided for good to go naked. I was always a fan of the older Triumph Street Triple dual headlight look. After looking around it seems I am not the only one and people do convert to the dual headlight on their FZ6!
I...
Got mine flushed and new coolant, I see around 170 on the highway, 180-190 while moving on city roads with stops and lights. When stopped for awhile or in heavy traffic it climbs to 210 and fans kick in.
I have an Icon Airmada in blue and mine too is falling apart. The inside is dirty (I guess I just need to wash it) and the rubber trim is falling apart. I don't mind the noise, its not too bad but compared to my girlfriends HJC it is loud. Also had mine for a year and I think I'm going to get...
From my understanding it is not as easy as that. FZ6 has different camshafts with different timings, different airbox, different FI...
I know you some pieces are compatible and can give you more power. For example swapping fz6 headers and exhaust for r6 ones.
Watched a couple of your videos I liked them! Love hearing your bike accelerate, makes me want to jump up and get on my bike lol.
Only thing (and this is minor) is your titles. I would make then more... descriptive and click-bait. But that's just me, its your channel and your videos are good...
I fill her up every 250 km or so, but this is because the people I ride with need to stop and gas and I just fill it up anyways. Fits about 9 liters after 250km so should be able to do 400 easely or more. I ride hard and like to open her up from time to time :D.
For comfort the FZ6 is really...
+1 on removing the airbox and battery. Gives you an extra angle for attacking the job.
The job is relatively easy to figure out. The hardest part I found was to install the new cable at the throttle body. Cable goes on the left side and is hidden by frame. Just take your time and you will get it.
Suzuki GSX-S1000F VS Yamaha FZ1. Ummm choices choices.
Just by looking at the bikes I prefer the GSX-S but I am a yamaha fan... Hopefully the FZ1 doesn't get dropped and gets upgraded looks and performance soon !
I tell myself that it will be done after passing 5000km and before getting to 6000km but will most probably end up changing it once a year, before storage.
Using Rotella T6, just like my other bike.
Pros:
Performance. People will disagree but but the bike will pass practically any car and can keep up even with some 600cc supersports. When compared to other bikes in similar category/price, the FZ6 is close to the top performance wise.
Price. Around where I live the big problem is not only...
I wear leather jacket, full face, gloves and boots all the time. Wear jeans when just commuting.
For the heat I open up the vents on my jacket and ride with face shield up in the city. When its really hot I open up my jacket half way to let some air in. Underneath I wear simply T-Shirt or a...
Canada, Quebec. Had to pay 1k for my courses (over 900 with taxes and everything). At least for that price we do get to ride quite a bit (16 hours closed circuit + 10 hours road) and they do teach you quite a bit.
I was looking for either OEM or better, not necessarily cheaper.
One of them has to go, will remove the second one and check if there is dragging and replace it too if needed.
My throttle cables got crushed and now the throttle has a hard time returning to the "off" position. It looks like one of the cable housings is also cracked, exposing the interior. Instead of cheaping out and somehow trying to fix it I decided to just replace them.
1. Should I do both cables...
