Figured I would put a post in here. I'm in the Madison/Hendersonville area, but work in Antioch. Only seen two other FZ6's here, one is on this forum, and the other I have only seen in passing. I would suggest, if you guys are not already on it, to join the Nashville Area Motorcycle Riders...
Now that I have seen it in person it is definitely loud, but not too loud. I'd say for the $40 it sounds good. I think it'd look good cut down like the second picture. Here's a link to the stuff I told you about to polish the exhaust with. Few hours of work, and some elbow grease will get them...
Small world indeed. I check it occasionally for bike nights and what not. I most likely will go to it since I have the night off, and it's close.
Pretty close to me then I travel through Nashville almost everyday to get to work in Antioch. I live over here in Hendersonville/Madison right on the line basically. If you're on Facebook, and if you're not already added. Get added to the Nashville Area Motorcycle Riders page. If you're not on...
:welcome: Was going to mention that front fender, but saw that was already mentioned. I feel like that might keep a lot of air from hitting the radiator. As far as those headers go here is a good thread on that...
:welcome: Here's a great video that may help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7uXGmaWphs
I'll have to say is when changing oil/coolant be ready..that stuff shoots out like a water gun.
Very nice bike even if it is blue! Never really realized how much space the undertail exhaust takes up until I see it removed. I noticed you're in Tennessee! Same here! :cheer:
Awesome! I appreciate it. I have the owners manual at home, and figured it would probably be in there. I'm at work though so don't have it with me figured I would ask while I am thinking about it.
This brings up a question I have kind of always wondered since I bought my FZ6 this year. How do you know when you hit reserve? My fuel gauge has gone to where the last bar blinks, but does somewhere on the cluster change to let you know you've hit reserve and you have about 40+/- miles before...
Kind of been feeling bad for Marquez so far this season. After getting a little bump and running wide in corner 1 of Qatar. Still impressed with him going from dead last to 5th. Then after what happened here, but Rossi made it a hell of race by catching up to him like that. Good racing...
There's a few options if you don't want to have it directly connected to the battery terminal all the time.
Just for an example if you have this
Amazon.com: Battery Tender 081-0069-8 Female Cigarette Adaptor for Quick Disconnect: Automotive
and this
Amazon.com: Battery Tender 081-0069-6 Ring...
You can definitely find LED lights for less. I just stand by their product because I know their quality, and when something doesn't work they have replaced it quickly with no problems. It's not too terrible though with their current 15% off, and you get free shipping. A 6 piece single color kit...
:welcome:
I would say even with HID's you would still have to do the BD43 mod to get both to run at the same time. Someone else may know more on that. I'm over here in Tennessee, and I have had red LED lights on both my truck and both bikes never been told not to have them. From what I...
:welcome: from a fellow previous GS500 owner. Had a 92 myself..well I still have, but doesn't exactly run. Great little bike for my first, but the FZ6 is way better.
Filled out the survey would be great to have some features such as navigation in a HUD for a helmet, but having this at an affordable cost would be the best. Only option as far as I know is the Skully AR-1, but at $1500 not very affordable for most of us since we spend a lot on our bikes...
Got quite a bit last week mainly ice covered with snow was the most snow we've had in a long time. I live in the Hendersonville area Chattanooga is roughly 2 hours from here.
If you're meaning fuel injection then yes very much so far. Had a ton of trouble out of the pet**** and vacuum system...
Hey all been lurking around here and SBN for awhile now doing a ton of research on a 06 FZ6 before deciding to buy one my local dealer had. Been riding almost 4 years now had a good ole 92 GS500 before that no longer runs...well at least not very well. Only gotten to ride a little on the FZ6...
