Like new Two Brothers Juicebox Pro (PN: TBR001-117). I used it for 2 months on my 2005 Yamaha FZ6, prior to being hit by cage driver and totaling the bike. New FZ09 on the way, no harm done
It fixed the idle issue common to aftermarket exhausts and increased midrange...

It has a dyno map for a 2004-2006 FZ6 w/ aftermarket exhaust & air filter @sea level. Great map that really made the bike come alive. Decent MPG as over other maps I have tried...
Update: Bike is totaled due to frame damages (scratches really), which I assumed. Front forks are bent, but very slightly. Insurance company is going to pay me a tiny bit more than what I bought it for, out the door. No complaints.
The other party's insurance is waiting on the observation of...
This is very true for those of you that flash your high-beams at truckers. My dad & girlfriend's dad both drive semi-trucks for a living. Flashing your high-beams at them is the universal symbol for "proceed with your maneuver/go for it"
Thanks PeterGreko- I'm a little further north in SoCal, but orginally from Ventura, CA. I've done my fair share of LA & San Diego commutes. Being in Orange County, I think you have it worse in terms of cyclist observation. Santa Barbara is a very 2-wheel oriented county, lots of college students...
Thanks for the reply Vegas. Good tips as there is always room for improvement in motorcycling skills. I regularly practice emergency stops (and stoppies Blah ). In this scenario, I held as far left in my lane as possible, hoping to wedge between the turning car, and the second car waiting in the...
I was on my way to work a few days ago, riding my normal route. There's a few miles of hillside road that I usually run through on the way to work. Just got done changing my fork springs a couple days before and enjoying the increased front end response.
As I exited the last turn of the...
I used to always run a super-sport tire up front and a sport touring tire in the rear. Never had an issue. But nowadays, I just put the stickiest tires I can afford on front & rear.
Thanks Scott. Started looking at the stand you mentioned and they're a couple $$, also look like they would be in the way of removing the front wheel.
I came across a rear swingarm stand on harbor frieght's website for $30 that should help with stabilizing the bike. I see that everybody is...
I picked up some Race Tech springs and Maxima 10w fork oil as an upgrade. I'm 245lb with gear and going to start tracking the bike so I felt it was a much needed upgrade.
I've got a mityvac pump and planning to raise the front end and keep the forks on the bike for the oil & spring change...
Hello and welcome to the forum!
I picked my '05 FZ6 about 4 months ago and have logged close to 5K miles on it. After owning 600s, 1000s, GSXR-1300, I went bike-less for a few years before acquiring a Ninja500 as a project. Sold that and the same day, saw this beautiful FZ6 online at a...
We don't get much rain here where I live, so I take advantage of riding in it every chance I get - it's really the best way to learn your limits. Very nice save, and good use of judgement.
If I may critique a bit here - I didn't hear any downshift prior to deceleration (perhaps a single...
I couldn't believe it either. Since I had payed for the extended warranty and maintenance plan (4 years - unlimited miles), I attempted to destroy that motor within my time constraints, and responsibly through lots of upper RPM time..
Couldn't do it before the warranty expired..
I'm running Redline 10w-40 motorcycle oil right now and it feels substantially better than the dino oil my bike came with when I bought it used from a dealer. The valve-train is much quieter overall, making idle sound smoother. Shifts are better cold, but about the same as dino when hot. I've...
I'm aiming to capitalize on the extra breathing room the TB exhaust provides. I'm also pretty happy with my current milage so I may scrap the idea. Although I do plan on a track day or two every few months, but 90% commute with canyons in between and she has plenty of power for that.
Anybody...
Just picked up an '05 FZ6. It has TB slip on and I believe stock air filter (haven't checked, too much fun riding). PCV appears the superior choice, and was hoping to use the auto tune module. Since I'm gen1 and don't have an o2 sensor, I imagine the auto tune isn't going to be an option?
If...
