Got the bike... and yes it's confirmed. The bike is a CA model which has the charcoal canister.

Just really got curious with that california version.. hehe... important thing is the immobilizer issue is cleared. Thanks a lot.. hope i can get the bike within today.

Cloggy, thanks for the reply.. the owner said it is a california model.. Just want to make sure cause my 2 former fz's has that immobilizer on them.. So, there are really fazers that aren't fitted with the immobilizer.

Quick question... are all fz6 equipped with the immobilizer? i'm about to buy my 3rd fazer and i'ts an 07 model S2. Noticed that it has no immobilizer. My former fz6 has it an 04 and an 08.. Can you please shed light on it. Thanks!

Sold my 04 because of this... 08 Fazer S2 with only 1,300kms mileage!:D runs and looks new!!

Have you done the TPS diagnostic? You can read from my first post and the following post by our brothers here and check every possible causes.

Just an update. Replaced the TPS on my bike a couple of days ago and so far no stalling issue. i am also consuming much lesser gas.. Hope everything is ok now. Thanks for all the input.:thumbup:

TPS here cost P9.5k pesos that's around 210 U.S. dollars:eek: maybe i'll be getting it tomorrow.

Wew!!! its not easy to remove the TPS but luckily i did!:) you really have to remove the throttle body..

I'm now on the process of removing the TPS. Question is, do i have to remove the throttle body to access it? It seams thats the only way.

Got this 04 FZ6 3 weeks ago... it looked like this. Former owner shaved and redo seats. It lowers the seat by 1.5" After a nice wash and waxing... put a new PUIG screen and seats redone to my likings.:D

Problem is intermittent. Used the bike yesterday with no stalling and low idle issue. Used it again today and it stalled! Also the check engine lights up for one to two seconds a few times.:confused: How can i check and diagnose using the instrument gauge?

My idle is set at 1350 but when riding the bike for 15 mins it stalls going on a full stop and pulling the clutch. sometimes idle is going down to 600rpm.

Lifted the tank and removed the air filter box. air cleaner is clean and all hoses are good. that would be my next step... to check the switches. Thanks again motogiro!

Yes i'm basically trying to have knowledge on all possible causes. This forum really giving me soo much info. I think i will replace the iridium plugs to the original spec which is CR9EK and start from there.. Is the fuel pump and fuel filter also to be considered on the stalling issue? the...

Decided to check first the spark plugs. Installed was a NGK Iridium plugs. Tips color is dark brown and around it is black. So its running rich. This why i'm consuming so much gas. What other things happen when you are running rich?

There are yamaha dealers in here but they only cater for small bike such as underbone and scooters.. they never sell big bikes. Can anyone help on where i can possible get the replacement for the TPS?
