When I bought my bike 5 years ago the seller neglected to inform me of a very serious issue. I posted about it when I found out, but basically I’m guessing the chain came off on the previous owner and took a chunk out of the engine. There was an attempt to fix it by the last guy with some JB...
I have some cheap LED turn signals that need replacing, because they're not too bright (my friend riding behind me mentioned that.) Does anyone have suggestions of what to go with? I like Motogadget and Rizoma, but they are a little to pricey for me, I'd definitely get them if they weren't...
I got some cheap eBay levers like that. Fit and work well. They were gloss black when I got them but quickly turned gold from the sun. Match my gold chain now.
I had a similar problem once, but I can't remember if the fuel pump primed or not with me. The issue was my breather fuel lines were kinked under the tank.
I had my mechanic try an salvage the original engine. He had a metal worker do some welding over the crack/hole and he did some more welds. It still leaks a bit, hardly noticeable. Now I'm just waiting for it to fail again.
It's at about 1300.
I'll try fresh fuel and Ringfree.
Also too, when I restart it I have to flip the Kill Switch off and on for it to turn over. I would think if it's a bad/loose connection with the Kill Switch it would shut off during riding due to bumps and vibrations oppose to a calm idle.
I had my 2006 FZ6 sitting for about a month and a half. Originally I thought I had a fuel pump problem so I was saving for a new one but the issue turned out to be a bent breather hose. Anyway, I took the time off riding for some fixes: replaced neutral switch, re-soldered the kill switch, oil...
I was thinking about that too. I did get frustrated with the fuel pump housing, trying to take it apart was not fun for me, but should be easier the second time around.
I have a 2006 FZ6 and need to replace the fuel pump. The original (5VX-13907-01-00) part is obsolete, I saw on another website that it was superseded by 5VX-13907-02-00 which is off a 2009 FZ6, but looking further into that years parts another part number is also listed (20S-13907-00-00) for...
