Alright everything is sold! And as for the blinkers, i cut the harnesses out of them and used them. Otherwise lights and all works just fine. If i was you i would just drop 20 bucks on aftermarket ones rather than the atock ones.
What I might do this coming year is buy a shorter and smaller battery to clear up some space under the tank and then make a like air duct that attaches to the airbox and goes almost out the front of the tank. This should send the air straight in right to the filter. So far I have cut the airbox...
I just did a streetfighter headlight mod on my bike and I am considering selling the stock front fairings, mount brackets, headlights and housings and all misc bolts and parts that came off. The bike is red. If you are interested shoot me a part and price and ill put up pics if people are...
It worked! Only turned it up by 5 on each side and it smells like its running right not lean or rich and now the airbox mod works even better. The flat spot in the mid range is less noticeable and the top end is better too. Thanks!
I did a naked conversion on my bike and now when the rpm gauge goes up to 8 and 9 rpms the stick bounces all over the place for just a second. Its really annoying. Nothing happens with the engine or anything. Just the gauge freaks out. Any ideas why?
A few days ago I was running a tad bit late to work on the fz and was getting stuck behind people who like to do 5 or so under the limit on the highway, when the highway split into two lanes on one side I hopped in the right hand lane using my signal as soon as I could and the driver of the car...
That is way below nada and bluebook at dealer trade in prices! That's a spanking deal! I thought I did good getting mine at 3200 which was dealer price and it had 14,000 miles. Around my area in Spokane WA, your bike is typically up for 3500-4000 with 10,000 miles on them. Hope that is of some...
My 07 runs fine and idles perfectly well and accelerates powerfully and correctly and has no chop anywhere in the powerband. It ha no bad fuel symptoms at all(my dirtbike had this issue when it sat) and I have been riding my bike a lot lately. It just has the initial throttle response of a cold...
Today I noticed a bog off idle if I snapped the throttle too quickly. On a carbureted dirtbike this would be expected but not on my FI fz6. I fired up my buddy's Harley and it didn't have that bog, nor did my other friend's gsxr600. Any ideas as to why this is happening?
One other idea is to put drag bars on it. I hated my stock 07 bars and went to my local shop and paid 25 bucks for some. For me the upsides are that it lowered me into a more aggressive position which I love and ow the wind doesn't hit me in the shoulders, it just glances the top of them so at...
After riding it home in the rain after I bought it used I ripped off the fender, shaved my levers, bought new drag bars, bar ends and grips the next day. After two months of owning it I am now officially pissed at how quiet it is so exhaust is next. I can almost not hear the motor at all in...
a light, one finger blip of the clutch and a roll of the throttle in 1st gear brings the front end right up to the balance point, and I'm 6ft 200lbs. Growing up on dirtbikes, the fz is an absolute monster compared to a 250cc motocross bike. Plus learning how to use the back brake in a wheelie...
I found this headlight on ebay that I really like and found two drastically different prices on them. I can see that one is from Bangkok and one is from Brooklyn, the one from Bangkok is a bid only and the Brooklyn one is a buy it now only. My question is would I sacrfice quality and ease of...
I'm not using mine as running lights just because I don't care for the look. They will, for now, just serve as signals and hazards, but I might look into that.
Hello all, this is my first thread. Day 2 of owing the bike I got very angry at the ugly thing hanging off the back of my bike so I started researching a fender eliminator kit only to find that I lacked the moolah to invest. I decided to start taking apart my ugly stock thing to see how it was...
