In the rain and cold weather I like my Icon patrol gloves. They breathe so my hands stay dry and warm. One thing to keep in mind is they fit small. I usually wear a large size in gloves, but I wear an XL size in these gloves. Where I live it's snowing right now:(

Last fall I bought a pair of "Patrol gloves" made by "Icon". They are insulated, and keep my hands dry and warm. I really like these gloves, good quality and WARM!

The previous owner dropped her once or twice in parking lots, but I've only been riding for a year, so this is why "all the gear all the time". It will probably happen to me turning right at a 4-way stop.

I wonder if it could have been from brake fluid, this stuff will destroy the finish on a rim, a gas tank, or any finished surface. Check the front brake lines, see if they are leaking. Have you recently changed your brake fluid? It is so easy to have a few drops of it land on your rim...
