Build your own Manometer for Throttle Body Sync!

That did the trick! I went for a test ride and really, it is much smoother now! There are still some light vibrations at 7-8k rpm but I never felt the bike so smooth. Another interesting thing is that I don't feel that kick anymore when I pull hard on the throttle. The bike goes fast but I need...

Build your own Manometer for Throttle Body Sync!

No gauge but I went in diag. I guess in d03 I have value 100 and if I crank the engine it drops to 89-90. Engine not running as it,s in diag mode

Build your own Manometer for Throttle Body Sync!

Oh man, success finally! So the issue was that basically the sync was messed up to begin with. My issue was that the vacuum was so high on some of the tubes that they would suck all the oil out of the other ones so I would get bubbles and dangerously close for the oil to be sucked into the...

Build your own Manometer for Throttle Body Sync!

I am making a 2 hose version to even out 1 and 2 first, then do the same on 3 and 4 and then all together. I guess that the whole setup was far off from the start. Also I didn't know that the settings are real sensitive. I messed 2 3 and 4 completely by maxing them out both ways. I was trying to...

Build your own Manometer for Throttle Body Sync!

And I consider the build to be rock solid. I used larger Ts and Ls made for bit larger hose that way it is sealed for sure. I worked really hard to get the hose on those adapters and it's a snug fit. And I don't get any bubbles while the oil level is creeping up no1 hose. It's when one of the...

Build your own Manometer for Throttle Body Sync!

It's pointless :( I did NOT touch no1 screw. I only messed with 2-3-4. I tried with one way valves and now the oil is not to rampart but still, no1 goes up up up and now it's sucking 3 out :( 2 declines at a lower rate and 4 seems somewhat steady. I really don't get it. I had to stop the bike as...

Build your own Manometer for Throttle Body Sync!

I built it without one way valves and haven't been so successful. 1st tube gets sucked pretty hard and I get bubbles from the other tubes emptying. I put some more oil and just bought the one way valves and will try again tonight.

I hear some rattling on engine brake

I don't get it, isn't engine braking one thing and rev matching another? I use engine braking so I don't use the braking system on the bike. Isn't rev matching something you do so you DON'T engine brake when down shifting?

I hear some rattling on engine brake

I never went beyond 5000km on oil change :) I feel as the bike is preparing to disintegrate whenever I see the 4500km mark for oil change :D And I sure do rev the bike, don't think she ever saw lugging in her lifetime. I like to have power ready for delivery whenever I ride so that's not an...

    k&n air filter cleaning

Hello, I have a K&N air filter and it's time to clean it. I managed to only get the K&N large can oil spray and was wondering on how to clean it. I've seen many recommending for and against diesel/gas/soap/brake cleaners. Is there anything that's readily available for this task? I'd like to...

I hear some rattling on engine brake

I gave the chain a good clean and then lubed it proper and now that scratchiness is gone. I still have the rattle inside the engine on engine braking. I will test with the tensioner out and see if the chain is loose or not.

I hear some rattling on engine brake

So I should open the upper part of the engine to check this?

I hear some rattling on engine brake

I checked the tensioner and it seems to be working fine. I only took out the screw and it seemed to be working smooth. I event twisted it to the max and let it go a couple of times and seemed to be working ok. I will clean the chain once more and give it a good lube and report back. So far...

I hear some rattling on engine brake

Bike has about 25.000 km and I was very diligent with the chain since I had it (3000km on the clock back then). I only cleaned the chain once with diesel, but I do lube it every 4-500 km or so. I will take off the front sprocket cover and do your check as well. But anyway, I tried to spin the...

I hear some rattling on engine brake

Thank you for the info. I just took out the rear wheel as I begun to feel some scratching at very low speeds, but only when I am accelerating. I suspected the rear bearings but they seem fine and feel real smooth. Also checked the rear hub bearing and no problems. Checked the whole chain as...

I hear some rattling on engine brake

Hello everyone, I noticed something odd last two weeks. Whenever I do an engine brake I can hear a metallic rattling from the engine. At first I thought that the the chain is acting up but it's slack is proper, and greased. So the sound must come from the engine. It has a short duration, but...

Need a new horn! Could use some reccomendations please

That is a speaker with an amplifier :) Draws 100W. Nautilus uses 18A at 12V and that puts it at about 216W if it would be a losless system, more realistic at about 150W of "sound". Would like to hear one of these speaker based systems. Any audio/video link?

Need a new horn! Could use some reccomendations please

I received the horn and it is loud! Now, I need to find a good mounting point on my naked FZ6. Any ideas? I got the kit from ebay and was about 50$, came with wires, relay, fuse box + 25A fuse and some connectors. It was poorly packaged and it arived with busted box but the horn is working.

    300km before F-Trip came on.

When I fill the tank as much as possible (when I put the cap it almost spills over) I get a maximum of 280-285km, not mattering how slow I ride. I guess it's also a function of wind, weight, tires etc.
