Replace em, if it means you miss a ride so be it. One thing I've learned about fork seal leaks, when they go, they go fast. Starts as a slow leak then BAM your bottoming our just braking, and potentially doing more expensive damage to your forks. Remember forks w no oil = horrible, unpredictable...
Ninja 1k is a nice bike, upright and gives some decent leg space. Have yet to see the new Ducat. I keep myself from test riding a ST because I know ill end up getting it, lose my license and have to drive the lawnmower to town :spank:
Spitballing but did you inspect/replace the kickstand sensor. Half the time on bikes that have them and won't start, seems like that little bugger is to blame
Been washing bikes with a pressure washer for a decade, long as your careful no harm done. Hot bikes too yes lol. If in doubt though, just give it 30 mins to cool off. Peace of mind is worth more than saving 30 minutes ;)
To add to this, look up valve intervals for each bike. Believe me a bike you have to tear open every 6k to check valve clearances is a PITA and no fun at all lol
You too! Live on a big hill so I get to see fireworks all around my house, on the front porch drinking a cold one. One of my favorite holidays. Just never forget what it's really about- freedom! :D
Quite a few threads on it but if all goes well and I get the job I want after this semester at school, ill be posting pics of one next to my Versys ;)
I've waited for a modern yammy triple for years. I'll have to avoid the dealerships so I don't sell everything I own to buy one lol
Moisture and temperature changes are what hurts tires, along with being outside in the sun. Indoor dirt floor is fine, we keep our tractors in a dirt floor barn year round and happy to report tires and metal are rust/damage free In the 21 years I've been on this earth ;)
Think it'll be fine!
You pay for comfort with a helmet. A 100 dollar helmet will protect you, but less comfortably and maybe less completely than a 500 helmet. Arai is supposed to be a great helmet but they don't fit my head lol.
Love my HJC IS16 btw! Oh and as far as staying away from certain brands, remember...
