Happy Thanks Giving to all the B.C. Riders. Any plans for a last Sunday ride (Sunshine prayers welcome). I'm hoping we could do a Whistler Run if we get a chance, as the road is getting better all the time. Maybe next Sunday, I will post if it's looking nice.

The Road from Vancouver to Whistler is under major rebuilding for the 2010 Olympics. Our hard earned Canadian Tax dollars are creating what will be an unbelievably great highway for the future. The divided sections that are finished are the best! Two lanes blocked off from on coming traffic...

Alex,
Firstly I want to say that you rock and are a proven FZ6 king of the road! What a trip and what conditions you dealt with. Your story was great to follow and I am sorry I didn't get to meet you in Vancouver. Hopefully we will see you in Vancouver next year and get to ride together. Also...
+10 for a motorcycle safety course. I did ProRider at Cap Collage last summer. Worth every penny, I use everything I learned every day I ride. Be smart and stay alive! I'm in North Van and looking forward to meeting all the local FZ crew soon.
You are talking about what is now called the Sea to Sky highway. It runs north along the Howe Sound to Squamish and then follows a river inland to Whistler, one of the biggest and best ski resorts in the world. If you keep going you will get to Pemberten and then you can head over the Duffy Lake...
Count me in and keep it open to all. Maybe we meet at a shop and head to Whistler and back or perhaps even Pemberton. The road does have it's construction challenges but it's getting better all the time. There is also many great rest stops for great views and great food. I'm on the North Shore.
I bought a 07 last June in Washington State from Smokey Point Cycle Barn. The process was super easy. I took a trailer down picked up the bike and brought it home. An earlier post described everything you need to do with the exception of exporting the bike out of the US which requires 72 hours...
