Congratulations! You have made a great choice. I have owned many bikes and the FZ6 is one of my favorites. Such a great all around bike, easy to work on and Cheap insurance. Some day another bike will catch your eye and you will sale the FZ6. I promise you will miss it. Drive safe, watch out for...
Congratulations, it's a great bike easy to learn, very stable at slow and fast speeds. It will serve you well for many years to come. My advice it to change the oil and learn about and take care of the chain. Always ride like no one can see you and always be prepared for the worse. ie; the car...
Anyone know if a 2007 FZ1 guage (Speedo) work on a 2007 FZ6? I need one for my 2007 and find several FZ1's on ebay but no FZ6. I guess that's because more FZ1's wreck. lol
Fuel pumps not working. My garage was too noisy yesterday but this morning I heard that I didn't hear anything. Put my gas tank off my 04 and I heard the pump and she started up.
I did pull the pump out of the bad tank and it was covered in varnish. I have it soaking in cleaner so maybe I can...
I picked up a 2007 that was wrecked and has been sitting in a garage for months and the instrument panel doesnt work except the nuetral indicator light so I cant see errors. It spins over but it wont start. I do have a 2004 fz6 project bike I'm working on but the instrument panel is different.
I received new frame sliders and back tire today and got them installed.
One side radiator mount solder came off so I tried to epoxy it but it didn't hold. I will try liquid steel next.
I stripped her down a little and ordered some parts;
-back tire
-chain
-clutch cable
-oil filter
-air filter
-headlight assy
-brakelight assy
-radiator hose
-fork seals
-frame sliders

I picked up a 2004 FZ6 with 35k miles for $500. It runs/shifts good, has a new clutch and front tire. That's about all the good news, the rest not so good. No plastics, or headlight or tail light. Needs back tire, chain, clutch cable, fork seals, radiator hose and a few missing bolts.
It...
It depends on how much you want this bike, how long you have been looking, your budget etc. Tell the seller he has a good looking bike and that you are interested in buying it but his price is a little high for your budget and the book value. Then ask him what is the lowest he will take for his...
Possible trade my 2003 Kawasaki Z1000 in perfect running condition, new tires, fresh oil change, only 65xx miles for a 2006 or newer (blue) low mileage FZ6. I have 2 other big bikes and want something lighter. I have clear TX title. I live in Spring TX. Pictures of my bike; Z1000
You can...
The lean angle switch was tie wrapped and before I realized what it was I had moved it. I put it back up but still get the message. I unplugged the spark plug wires one at a time until there was no change in the motor and that was number one.
I just picked up a 2006 FZ6, it was running but at low rpm's I could tell one of the cylinders wasn't firing, but at higher rpm's it kicked in and ran fine.
I figured out it was #1 cylinder so I put new plugs today. Now I get error code 30 and the bike will start and run for a few seconds...
I have a ST1300 and a V-ROD and a FZ6. I love the FZ6 for it's light weight fun. It's a very good companion to my big heavy ST1300. But when it's time for me and the wife to go on a long trip she wants the ST1300. The V-ROD is just for when me and my buddies want to cruise.
I'm a lucky guy I...
I chipped off some epoxy in the area where is leaking and found a small hole. I was able to fold over some of the casing and stop the leak. I then cleaned the area with a wire brusk and acetone, let it dry and jb welded it. I will let that dry overnite. If it still leaks I will repair it with...
The guy started out at $2600. when I saw the mileage and wear I only offered $1k. I will have to clean off the epoxy to be able to see how bad the damage is and to use jb weld. I knew it was a risk when I bought it.
It has been dropped, the fairings are scratched on both sides, otherwise...
I picked up a 2006 FZ6 with 40k miles for $1000. I order $250. worth of parts. Kill switch assy, brakes, oil/filter, air filter and more. I found oil drops on my floor. I find the oil over full and blame that. Drained to proper level, still drips. I discover a drain bolt leaking and order a...
I picked one up and really enjoy it. I like my cruiser too and my sport tourer.
The FZ6 is light and easy to handle, stable at speed, and a real hoot to wind it up and let it go. You will enjoy it. Good choice.
