can the punched out lock be replaced or did it mangle the lock mechanism in the process?

Re: 2009 Yamaha FZ1 S Agree - as-is no warrenty + no test rides screams to me that you're trying to hide something bad about the bike. AFAIK the "standard" is test rides as long as you have a cash/check in hand in case they wreck it - probably get more interest in the sale with that policy...

Do you know if the motech and v35's will fit on a 2004? I'm doing some googling here as well but can't find a definitive answer. If they do, i'm interested in the rack/case setup

definitely go for the tip of a soldering iron on the head of the bolt for a minute or two to heat it up, no way they would put high temp loctite on those, so this should work.

if your fish scale is anything like mine - then your 8.2 lbs is about on with my 6'10oz on accurate food scale... thats how i'm always catching the biggest fish ;)

Using my kitchen food scale and pressing on the "ball" at the very end of the lever. 6lb 10oz to keep it fully pressed in, and less and the lever starts returning.
