They were $88 for each mirror. A bit expensive, but not bad for Rizoma. I like the look and they really are a quality product; decent size, adjustable with absolutely no vibration at hwy speeds.
Here's where I got them - "Dynamic" Rizoma Mirror, PJ's Parts
I purchased some Rizoma mirrors (PJ's Parts) then ordered the FZ8 clutch mount (Yamaha); and drilled/hand-tapped the round, flat spot on the FZ6 front-brake master, using a 8.8mm drill bit.
I read about doing it on this forum somewhere (Thx Yamaha FZ6 Forum Community) Nice and clean with...
...Sweeet lookin bike 'Loops'.
I really like the black, ceramic coated Headers. If it were mine, my next buy would be a belly-pan ...I think that just gives it that finishing touch.
Then I'd get the PC-III and the braided brake-lines.:D
The adapter I used (for my '08) was shaped more like the 212. It wasn't a perfect fit. As I mentioned, I had to use a large rubber washer in-between to make the fit solid.
Basically, you get 2 pieces of shaped metal with each set. They are designed to fit on either side of the existing...
Hi Rob :welcome: ...I'm fairly new here too, but it is a great site. Lots of great advice and inspiration to personalize your ride. ...enjoy.
...and post lots of pics. We like pics.:D
That does look sweet! More info please! :D My q's would be the same as jamesbyrum, ...but my guess is you made it yourself. If so, well done man!!!
...Nice! I'm also thinkin of going naked.
I would have bought the naked version myself if it were available in N.America when I bought my bike, but I had to settle for the half-faired version. I think it still looks good, but i don't know ...maybe I just like the word ..NNNNaked. :D...
Actually, I'm not operating 'running lights'. I turned on my 'hazards' to capture a pic of the lights ...that's why they're both on at the same time. :D
Sorry for the confusion.
I'd love to test ride one of these. :D It's a nice looking ride ...but I would imagine it's pretty quiet. Would you even hear it coming?
Here's the 2011 Brammo Empulse preview by motorcycle.com.
Finally some great weather ...and I remembered to take a pic. :D
The sun is coming down right in front of me. I'm not sure this picture does the signal light justice, but here it is just the same.
Drivers behind squinting straight into the sun will have a hard time seeing anything, so...
dturpen is right (although my bike is an '08) ...the front signals do hang below the fairing. However, a mounting bracket is still required. I mentioned it ealrier ...it's the 'fairing mounting adapter (part # PFY2)'.
I think the adapter is designed for earlier models, to mount on the...
Thanks. I got the Rizoma turn-signals at PJ's Parts. They were very helpful.
I wasn't sure how the front signals would mount to the existing bracket, so they made sure I also ordered the 'fairing mounting adapter (part # PFY2)'. This is required and I wouldn't have known this...
They're very bright. I actually installed them when it was bright and sunny outside and compared them to the stock signals (when I had one of each on). They actually seemed brighter. I wish I had taken pictures at the time, but I'll see if I can take a few pics if/when the sunshine ever...
I didn't care for the large orange stock front turn-signals or the cheap rear turn-signals that came with my Two Brothers slip-ons, so I recently got myself a set of Rizoma's for the front and rear.
I went for a set of the Track-77 LED's for the front.
and a set of Zero-11 LED's...
