Awesome artistic video of a typical track day experience

A fab video! The talent that is displayed by "amateurs" never ceases to amaze me! This video is made by a rider, for riders, and is the best short film, both in content and artistic quality that I have ever seen. Thanks very much for sharing! Wiz

Yet Another Post of High Praise!

All, I too, have fallen from the dark side to the light. (I mean installing the additional wire so both my "eyes" are lit full time.) I want to send out a special thank you to BD43:cheer: for fabricating the wire, sending it promptly and including the great instructions for it's...

    At last. Sorry you guys

Sharp Bike! Haven't seen anything like that here, but I am located "far away from the maddening crowd". The naked version looks mean, and the silver is very smooth. Enjoy! (And get some miles on that thing!) :thumbup:Wiz

    Economic downturn

Cheap way to make the seat comfier??

Long time "Iron Butt" member here (1170 miles in 17 hours my personal best) My best advice is the cycle shorts, (I too have some from LDComfort) take a quick break 5 min works great when you begin to "feel" your butt (1hour 45mins for me), and don't be afraid to use baby powder in your shorts...

Twist the Throttle - ON Tonight!!

I just found it on Turbo.com under the "motorcycles" link. I have to agree with the other posters though, it wasn't as good as I hoped. After I posted this thread, things happened so I didn't get to see the show when it aired. I'm going to take a look at the Bimota show though, it sounds...

Thoughts on the Suzuki Bandit 1200 or similar bikes?

Just my opinion, you results may be different: I've had 1100 Katana, 750 Honda, Concours, 650 V-Strom 1500, 1600 and 2000 V-twin cruisers and others. I'm new to the Fz6, but have been riding for almost 40 years now. I suggest that you try to figure what it is that you want to do with...

    OMG, Not another Headlight Question!!

Bear with me, I'm confessing ignorance here! :( I've been reading all the headlight discussion on the forum about headlights. I bought my fz6 after owning a 650 Wee-Strom and expected the same great lighting. Imagine my surprise when I see I only have one low beam. I guess you don't have to...

Twist the Throttle - ON Tonight!!

All, This may not apply to all of you, but if you have access to a television channel called "HD Theater" they will be broadcasting a show that should interest the forum. It's called "Twist the Throttle" and is a informative show done on the motorcycle industry. I have managed to catch...

Lodging ?'s Asheville, NC and Deal's Gap.

I had heard that they were thinking of moving, but did a "google" for wheels through time. Google found their website, and it sure looks like it is still in Maggie Valley. There is no mention of any other location other than 62 Vintage drive, Maggie Valley. If they are still there, I...

    new puig touring screen

Hmmmm, I guess I understand, but my findings were different. I put my Puig Touring screen on last week and I love it. BUT, I am 6'0 and that might make all the difference. I rode 150 mile loop today, through sun, rain and +20 wind. As it was a loop, the wind hit me from all directions. I...

    Flood?

This is just my experience, your findings may be different. (There now that the legal stuff is out of the way.) Riding in severe rain is not a problem with the correct gear and some tips or previous experience. Tip 1 you already figured out, wear the right gear. I've been riding a long...

Lodging ?'s Asheville, NC and Deal's Gap.

If you are that close and have the time, check out a map of the area just north of Asheville for a little town called Maggie Valley. There is a motorcycle museum there that is just fabulous. It's called "Wheels through time". Get this, all the bikes on display run! I was talking with a guy...

    New member welcome thread..

Hi All, Finally, after all these years I get to be the "FNG"!! I'm 55, and have been riding since I was 16. I've ridden over 150,000 miles over those years and once even got convinced to do an "Iron Butt" and get the certificate. I have always loved to ride, short distances or long. Taken...

    Goodbye, farewell and amen.

Don't be so down, it will turn around. I worked at the same place for 35 years, getting to a position of responsibility. Due to some consolidation of similar departments from different locations my position moved 4 states away, so at 55 I found myself unemployed and never had looked for a job...

    An OLD, old, New Rider

UPDATE: An OLD, old, New Rider Thanks to all for the welcome. I'm 55 but only feel about 29 while I'm riding, that's why I have all the miles! My most recent bikes were a 1100 Katana, a Kawi Concours, 1500 Vulcan classic, 1500 Nomad,(with my stepson's mean streak as backup) the 650 Wee-Strom...

    An OLD, old, New Rider

Hit all, I'm new to the forum too. Just picked up a '07 in the slow blue color. My 2004 1200S Bandit was the "slow" blue color too, but all some saw of that was the fast red taillight dissappearing into the darkness ahead of them, or it glowing as they pulled into the rest stop to join me...

    Xelement??? Anyone??

 for stuff from Newenough.com. Great folks, I have bought a lot of gear from them over the years at a very decent price. The Xelement stuff looks good, you might be able to buy last years design from new enough of a similar name brand jacket for nearly the same price. Just a thought,,,,,

    Anyone tried these?

:thumbup:Yup, had a set on my V-Strom. Very good for dialing in the exact placement you wanted for the bars, providing, that place was within the range of adjustment for the risers. Very high quality parts, worth the price IMHO, providing your "place" fits in their range. It it doesn't, they...
